Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) website, http://www.kugb.org/
Karate Union of Great Britain was established in 1966 as a democratic and non-profit making organisation for the development of Shotokan Karate in Great Britain and Europe, under the auspices of Enoeda sensei and the Japan Karate Association (JKA) .
During this time it produced some of the finest karateka to walk the planet, the KUGB produced many fighters and kata champions that rivalled the best karateka in the world at that time including the JKA.
The KUGB since the passing of Enoeda sensei has withdrawn from the JKA but still has its roots in the JKA shotokan style of karate with Andy Sherry sensei (8th dan) as the chief instructor.
Today the KUGB still produces many strong championship fighters and kata champions in the art of karate-do.
Below are clips of some of the legends of the KUGB.
